Day 1: Singapore to ZhuhaiA holiday, like finally. And it's NOT Malaysia.
Everything at the airport fascinates us 'cos it had been six long years since my family last traveled by air together, and this time round, Lionel came along too! :D
When I saw how squeezy the plane was, my hopes of having plane food were dashed. I thought we only had bottled water to survive through the night (our flight was at 3am btw) so we all went to sleep.
Later at 5am, food came! OMG THERE'S FOOD! Most people find plane food disgusting, but everyone in my family is just so obsessed with it. Maybe because we don't get to eat it anytime.
Day break.
Funny signs at Shenzhen airport. I couldn't stop chuckling at the "For weak only" (outside a toilet cubicle).
The moment we hopped on the tour bus, we were being fed a second round of breakfast.
Some statue sightseeing at Zhuhai.
Looks candid, but actually we posed for it lol.Lunch was scary. The way the restaurant spammed us with dishes within minutes gave all of us a shock. Food was pretty nice, but they serve this weird China beer.
First stop where the tour attempted to con us into buying some Chinese medicines / tonics / DEE's antlers. (In the end everyone received a free sample of their skin product, lucky never buy ar.)
Second stop where they attempted to con us into buying silk. (In the end everyone received a free silk handkerchief -_-)
Next up, shopping at Gongbei!
Baby and I wanted to reserve our appetite for egg tarts till we reach Macau, but these look way tempting to not try. It was heavenly..
Then, for the first time in my life, I
kena pick-pocketed. I was too careless but I swear that the thief was a fcuking ghost or something. Didn't even feel a single shit. Fortunately, I wasn't left with much cash after much spendings but I lost my debit card, driving license, and EZ-link card.
Lesson learnt: Always keep your valuables in ZIPPED compartments.
Dinner - another spam of 10 dishes :\
The hotel was very thoughtful. Kept reminding us to drink water and to beware of landslips LOL.
Day 2: Zhuhai to Macau to ShenzhenWoke up feeling much more replenished. I guessed everyone crashed real hard the previous night due to the tiring flight.
Setting off on a 3-hour journey.
Finally arrived at Macau and our first stop was the
Ruins of St. Paul's.
Oh yeah, sightseeing.
I look like me on the left of this blog.
We cam whored till we forgot all about the time and became the last ones to board the coach. Mad
paisey :\
Waahaha! Golden Bulbasaur. If they were to have an English translation for this signage, it'd probably be, "Lush grass green green, leg down leave sentiments."
We were expecting lunch to be something different 'cos we saw people having '
Dim Sum' but we still ended up with 八菜一汤 -_-
After our boring lunch we headed to
Venetian - the place I've been so looking forward to but we were only given a total of one hour! *Wails.
It was rushy shit. Allocated ourselves 30min in the casino, and 30min for photo taking. But anyhows, my first casino experience was damn thrilling please! I can now understand why people get addicted and to be honest, I didn't felt like budging either. Haha but time was such a limiting factor so we left after doubling our initial bets.
Pretty place~
Savouring the famous Macau egg tarts on our way back to Shenzhen.
There's this thing about being in tour groups: people always try to sell us stuffs, even while we're eating. Last night's dinner, my parents bought three grilled oysters as extra items from the restaurant, then today, we got served a full plate of the exact same thing that was already in our included meal.
-_- This time round, they sold us fruit juice.
The art restaurant was a nice place though, and they had this uber cute Siberian Husky as a house pet!
*Melts.
Attractive decors gave us yet another reason to cam whore.
:)
Checking in
Bonanza Hotel.
We went for KFC sinful supper opposite our hotel. Wanted to try their original chicken but it was sold out :(
Day 3: ShenzhenA park visit early in the morning didn't sound very enticing, but.. it wasn't as bad as I thought lah.
The park was so huge and pleasant and everything unlike Singapore's! The biggest turn on was the weather though! Chilly to the max~ Now I know why the people in Taiwan dramas can jog and play basketball with jackets and trackpants on.
Acting cute ^^ HAHAHA *pukes.
I can jump and kick a ball and still shiver underneath thick layers!
Retards.
No walking around headless and no handicapped dogs.
Visited another park after lunch, but a much bigger one this time.
There were lots of different themed sections and Lionel commented that everything were imitations of all other countries.
Check out the slacking starfish mascot. Damn funny please!
Pretty mummy :)Cable car!
Check out the peak of the mountain.
Then check out this ride on the peak of the mountain. My
balls guts shrank immediately when I saw this, but I'm still game for a try if time permitted.
Imitation of Henderson Waves.
Top right pic: Filipino maid and China man hairstyles LOL.
We spotted a classic moment while walking in the mini town - a whole tray of carrots and vegetables came rolling down a woman's trolley. It felt almost unreal for an instant. I don't know I think it's just me 'cos this usually happens only on TV.
Mutated carrot.A performance after dinner and I fell asleep during the first 30 minutes hahaha.
To fulfil the unsatisfied craving of the original KFC last night, Lionel packed back four pieces to the hotel for supper :\
Day 4: Shenzhen to SingaporeOn the last day, we were brought to look at the real expertise of the Ching Chong lands.
One big shopping mall selling imitation goods! And all the shops have the same stuffs -_-
Lunch. What's new.
We opted out of the optional tour so we had four full hours of free and easy. Tour guide told us about a shopping mall across the road but it was nowhere to be found so we
nua-ed at Starbucks.
After settling down, Lionel went to ask around and was directed to one mall like a few kilometres away. We went there nevertheless, but nothing to shop one leh. I felt like Paragon, too high class already.
Got pirated Eiffel Tower though.Third round of KFC. Six pieces this time! Lionel is crazy~
This was supposed to be part of a series but it was a fail.
This was slightly better but still not good. We need a tripod and more time the next time!
Now tell me what's the difference between lunch and dinner. We got really really sick of all their 八菜一汤.
Spotted this at the airport - a petrol kiosk for mobile phones hahaha.
Another night flight.
I seriously wonder if a Singh would be offended if he sees this!
